Guest guest
Hi, have you noticed any other changes in your health, good or bad, since being on LDN? Have your CD4 levels stopped decreasing? I did a quick review on the LDN website HIV and Dr. Bihari seems to be saying that many months on LDN (18?) are needed before CD4 counts rise? Would it help to re-read that section to better understand what to expect from LDN? http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/ldn_and_hiv.htm I believe the only way we can be assured that LDN works is to see posts from people who have had blood work for CD4, T-cells or endorphins etc. that show LDN has positively helped their condition. Have not seen any/many of those here. Is there any news on Dr. Mira Grioni and her clinical trials on LDN/MS? Will she be speaking at the 2006 LDN Conference? > > > > > > > I started LDN 6 months ago when my CD4 count was under 300, and it > > seems to have had no effect. Guest guest
I use liquid LDN. I am confident of the quality, but will change source of naltrexone for a while and see if there is a difference. Thanks for your comment. > > > > I started LDN 6 months ago when my CD4 count was under 300, and it > > seems to have had no effect. Guest guest
thanks very much for your reference to the LDN site (if all else fails, read the manual ). My general health is really good. The only problem is falling CD4. 6 months of LDN hasn't turned this around. I've eased off on anti-oxidants, increased beta-carotene, etc. Certainly no negatives from LDN, and perhaps I may have been expecting a bit much. Will have blood tests by mid April and post the series from May last year then. > > > > > > I started LDN 6 months ago when my CD4 count was under 300, and it > > > seems to have had no effect. Guest guest
thanks for your helpful comments. I haven't found a source of pure naltrexone powder, so dissolve tablets and keep in dark glass bottle refigerated. > > > > > > I use liquid LDN. Guest guest
Any advocacy we could do to have the pure powder available non prescription? > > > > > > > > > I use liquid LDN. Guest guest
, thanks for your suggestion. As the drug is a prescription item in most countries. I doubt you could get the active ingreadient non prescription anywhere. We are lucky there are some sources to be able to get the tablets non prescription > > Any advocacy we could do to have the pure powder available non > prescription? >
Guest guest
Where do you get your non prescription LDN. I am having a lot of trouble finding it or a doctor to prescribe it.healthyseed <healthyseed@...> wrote: ,thanks for your suggestion. As the drug is a prescription item in most countries. Guest guest
I've read all the posts on this topic and think I may have at least part of the answer to your issue of no CD4 change since starting LDN 6 months ago. I have been on LDN (and nothing more) for 15 months for HIV. However, from these posts, it sounds like you are relying on Revia tablets to come up with your 4.5 and 4 mg of LDN. The problem is that Revia tablets are not pure naltrexone, so likely you are not getting anything near 4.5 mg. Try to find a compounding pharmacy. Just make sure (as I did) that they make the LDN from pure naltrexone powder. It sounds like that may be what is going on, but the posts were a little hard to follow. I hope this helps.healthyseed <healthyseed@...> wrote: I use liquid LDN. Guest guest
I use LDN for HIV and am a patient of Dr. Bihari. You should not expect LDN to raise your CD-4 count. It will prevent it from going lower but not raise it. It will help the body's natural defense system lower the viral load and maintain the CD-4 count. It lets you go indefinitely as you are in a way but don't expect it to raise the CD-4 count over time. It is not like the HAART drugs. Hope that helps. Best, Andy

Guest guest
thanks Andy There was a post a few months back where someone had a very nice rebound in CD4 while using only LDN. However, your point taken, and your comment much appreciated. -- In low dose naltrexone , ajk123pg@... wrote: > > I use LDN for HIV and am a patient of Dr. Bihari. > > You should not expect LDN to raise your CD-4 count.
