According to what I heard yesterday, you have to get to the coconuts before

they are ripe. Once you have the pulp and milk, the coconuts no longer have

water.

That's correct. You have to buy young coconuts in the white husk. My family

always bought those and my sister had a fairly easy way to open them. They're

much easier to get into than a mature coconut. She just used a knife! I prefer

the meat in the young coconuts as well. It soft and at times kinda jello-ish.

The water is delish!
