Eating healthy probiotic food is trying to re-seed good bacteria in the gut,

after antibiotics have wiped it out. I read that doctors also tried

re-seeding the gut with healthy bacteria by giving a " poo " fecal enima from a

healty donor.

C-diff is apparently from the same family of bacteria as the -lock jaw-

tetinus bacteria. Clostridium tetinus lives in the gut of horses. The horse

fecal matter spreds presistent spores that can infect puncture wounds,

including humans.

There may not be any overlap immunity from a tetinus vacination, but as there

IS tetinus vacine, maybe a C-diff vacine might be another avenue for

research.

My granddaughter graduated Summa Cum Laude in Science and Nutrition. She is

well informed about Probiotic. (We are very close.)

I just wanted to be sure the medical advice we were getting was well proven,

tested, and researched by the medical world. I have read so many

testimonials by people trying to peddle their health foods on me that I am shy

of the

whole process. I am severely allergic to many things, and the raw things I was

supposed to have taken for my allergies, Asthma, and Chronic Eosenophilia

Pneumonia, would have killed me.

So I want to be sure of what I am learning. Thank you for the Mayo site.
