Guest guest
Has anyone been diagnosed with a PFO? If so, do you have a connective tissue disorder, and did the PFO cause problems, like blood clots? Did you have surgery to close it? Thanks, Pam
Guest guest
I have a PFO, I don't have any connective tissue problems. Â the PFO has never caused any problems for me but they won't do anything about closing it until I have a stroke or clot pass. Â They normally don't cause any problems and more people have them than not without ever knowing it. Â Mine was found while having a bubble echo done checking for POTS. ________________________________ To: Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2012 9:54 AM Subject: PFO Â Has anyone been diagnosed with a PFO? Guest guest
HI Pam, My daughter has one, and the dr who diagnosed it was a pedatritac dr who said he told me, but i don't remember him telling me. So i looked up her records one day around last yr and found it written in the report when she was hospitalized for an eating disorder at stanford. I was looking at her reports because she has been feeling like passing out and her blood pressure has been low. Her adult cardilogist blew her off and said it was a tiny one and pointed to the crack in the door to compare it! So i called her pedatritac cardilogist who told me he didnt measure it so i asked why and he said because it opens and closes. In his own report he stated that i could be discused to close it in the future. I mailed him his own report and i have no response.  Hers also has left to right flow and right to left flow, which i read about it and one of those isnt good to have. When i told the dr he should have measured it the conversation became a little weird and he abrubtley hung up saying he didnt have to answer any more questions.  I am very disapointed in the medical care i find, and think it is careless political facility control causeing issues like this.
