Guest guest
Hi Gals...have a cute story to tell on my new ob/gyn visit this morning, a lovely young woman (a few years younger than my own daughters!!) with 2 small children of her own. I had gone out to Boston/Cape Cod to visit a daughter and 5 grandchildren for a week...plane was delayed 4 hours on layover in Chicago...got home at 3 am, and then up at 6 to make it to the first clinic appointment of the day, scheduled for 8:00 am. I have been off of cream E left over from the WP for over a week, and my brain is on sludge-slow, and I was late for appointment by 15 mins. I profusely apologized, stating my plane holdup excuse and getting in at 3 am, yadda yadda....and she looks up sweetly at me and says, " oh, yes, I was up at 3 am, as well, delivering a baby, so both of us will be a bit off, won't we? " Well, I could have fallen through the floor with embarassment!! After getting a blood draw, I attempted to recover with her, and expressed my admiration for her heeding the call of new life at that time of the morning! To which she replied with a smile that beamed like the morning sunrise... " Oh, well, thank you, but it is always either a new baby, or one of my children...it goes with the territory!! " I just slinked out, resolving never ever to be so inconsiderate as to be late again in an appointment with her!! AND...she Rx-ed the Crinone and the EstroGel that I requested, God bless her!! Young women today - are wonderwomen!!! Carolyn __________________________________________________

Carolyn Glad you scored your crinone and estrogel, Carolyn....I can only think that those same young wonder women of today will be broken down old mares like us some day unless they get their bio-identicals. Guest guest
So true, !! I am rather hoping that I can " role-model " to her a bit, a " LabRat Mentor " , as it were. She is, like almost all the ob/gyns out there, STILL a bit " undereducated " on BHRT. Although I sent her a bucketload of printouts, I think the best way is to just be a " trailblazer-by-example " ! She does not know much about compounded stuff, relies too heavily on the compounder to tell her what to do, and is more comfortable with " symptoms " rather than serum " numbers " ...which is OK....I will just keep tying in my symptoms with my numbers! In telling her that, at least for me, orals were noxious in side effect, and that the creams were way too unpredictable for me as well...maybe she can use me as an odd-duck-out, and as an exhibit #A = a third way to do BHRT!! We shall see!! Will report to the group in a couple of months or so!! Love, Carolyn --- astrodiana wrote: > > > > Young women today - are wonderwomen!!!
