Barb,

Re: 's placement is there any chance he can stay at the school he is at

now and get an aide?? I think you have mentioned that he is at a charter

school now, is that correct? Since he enjoys the kids so much and does so

well in many respects I can't help but wonder if the aide wouldn't be just

the help he needs. I don't know much about Charter schools and I suspect

they vary from state to state, but I hope something can be worked out. The

only thing I can compare it to is that some special needs children here in

Portland do attend some of the magnet schools for languages and such and do

have supports.

Re: church. Is it at all possible that attend with you but do another

activity quietly in the pew? I think you might have a point if it is not

the right situation just at this time. Kendra attends with me but she

usually colors or does a puzzle. She does now participate in communion and

actually took the wafer a few weeks ago where she has only been able to

take the wine previously due to swallowing. She received First Communion a

few years ago.

Good luck with 's school. I hope something really wonderful opens up

for him. It would be ideal if he could stay in contact with his friends.
