Guest guest
, I noticed you have low vit. D and would like to share with you an alternative means of raising your vit D level! For one reason or another my body at such a young age of 35 was at a hormonal level as a 65 menopausal woman. After much research and many trial and desperate attempts to help myself so my fusion of my neck would hold! I found a holistic hormonal replacement that brought my levels into the world of a 35 year old and one of absorbing vitamins my body naturally needs to function on a basic level! Look into: Body Logic MD. I do know they have offices from cost to cost, but I personally drive 90mins to see my local Body Logic MD doctor. If this is not for you and or not along with your belief, I do not mean to insult by any means. This is a very controversial topic and out of the box method of sorts. I did everything before hand with a nutritionist and my pcp; all of which confirmed my hormones where not at a normal level for someone my age but my thyroid was fine. Thus far the only side effect is more energy and my vit D level being in the normal range. As far as the flow study goes into our csf in a MRI, from what i remember, is the space the flow has. But can only truly be measured by drilling into the scull and actually being able to in put a value. And at only that time can they truly measure the CSF pressure said to me by the doctor who put my shunt in; Dr. Carmel of NJ. I don't know if this is actually true but made since. (He's a wonderful doctor for shunts) I hope this bit of info helps! Bea Sent from my iPhone
Guest guest
Hi , Here is the conversion for the mmHg cm water x 0.735 = mm Hg mmHg x 1.36 = cm water Hope that helps~ > > Hello again, > > Thanks for all the replies on the Chiari Syndrome v. Chiari Malformation. I have noticed looking through my records that it is the Doctor dictating Syndrome and the PA dictating Chiari Malformaion history. > > Okay.. . background: LP done in Jan 2011. Just saw the actual procedure report. The tests on the spinal fluid were fine but the procedure report states " The opening pressure was only 1mmHg. " > > Question: From what I'm reading and researching, that is low but I can't find the causes of why it's low. And no one ever said anything. Any ideas on this? Any ideas on how I should ask about it? And I also see it's measured in mmHg and mm H2O. . Not sure I understand why or how to calculate to mm H20. > > I wish I had asked back then. Sometimes, I just rely on people to tell me stuff is low, high, possible problem, not a problem? You know what I mean. > > Thanks again everyone. > > Decompressed, Detethered, CCI and low Vit D >
