" I would like to declare January 2003, STAY OFF THE SCALE MONTH ! " That sounds good to me! Unfortunately because of the weight loss group I " teach " I have to weigh once a week. But maybe I won't look at the numbers and just have my assistant jot it down. After my 13 week class, I'll see if I lost anything.
Guest guest
I was just sitting here reading all the posts about weight. I have only one question When did scales become omnipotent! Why does a little piece of machinery get the power to decide how we are going to feel in a day or how we treat our bodies? You can step on three different scales and get three different answers and don't think that the scale at the doctors is right either unless they have had it calibrated in the last month. The scale is not your friend, throw it in the closet, throw it in the trash, take a hammer to it (not mentioning any names) but get rid of it! You are giving it tremendous power by stepping on it and if you give it that power more than once a week, heck once a month! its going to take over your life. I would like to declare January 2003, STAY OFF THE SCALE MONTH ! If any one would like to join me in this habit breaking ceremony please feel free. My goal for the new year is to weigh myself and take my measurements once a month and then calculate my Body Fat % on line. That's it that's all. I am not going to let the scale have any more power. Pat getting down off her soap box p.s.. Sandie, can I join you on the weekly abs and glutes challenge? My arms are looking awesome these days but my abs and glutes could use a little help! -- Even though circumstances may cause interruptions and delays, never lose sight of your goal.
