Guest guest
Hello All, My name is I am a 25yr old female. I live in North Dakota in the US. I was just diagnosed with Adult-Onset Still's disease this morning...lol It's never good news if you have a Dr. call you directly. I remember watching a episode of mystery diagnosis a few weeks ago. I said my fevers aren't high enough as i was running a bout a 101. I went to New York for a vacation and the travel there and back just about made me think I was dying. I wish I would of had my thermometer at the airport I was tipping 104 degrees before it started getting really bad, but anyways after this occurred I really started wondering if this could be Still's Disease. I recall my firs high fever I was 4 yrs old and was told I had Scarlett Fever. Then I was told I had Epstein Bar's Disease after that didn't work they just started saying I got colds often. Or that I didn't want to go to school (which was true)... By age 6 I was experiencing serious TMJ problems, I had surgery 2 yrs ago to pull my lower jaw forward to help with this issue. When I was in high school I was a swimmer and a lifeguard. But due to knee problems and then my shoulder that were unresolvable I had to quit. After high school I tried to become a nurse but after my CPR for caregivers course I was told that I wasn't healthy enough to get through class. My BP would drop so low and I would about pass out. After dropping out of college due to other muscle issues that left me unable to barely move. After about 6 months I started feeling bettor. My issues resolved quite a bit. Last year I went back to college I learned I had serous wrist issues this time I was going to school for computers, and I was devastated to think of what my future may hold. I supposedly had a torn ligament in my hand. After a second opinion and 2 yrs after I originally thought I sprained my wrist. I finally got an answer. At least it is something. Probably the biggest that scares me right now is that I have symptoms similar to pleurasy (lung inflammation) but I had a chest x-ray a few weeks ago that was clean, and my boyfriend is having similar symptoms so hooping it is just a long lasting cold. Glad there is a support group out there I'd love to learn all I can.
