Guest guest
We went and seen MIL on Christmas day and she was really good. Mind you she was saying a few strange things getting us to look for things and they were already there. Saying listen they are talking about me. My SIL said to the Nurse that the MIL doesn't want to be here any more so I my words she has given up. She wont try to feed herself she wont try to walk. She wont sleep in her bed stay in her chair, it is electronic so she can lay it back and it can also be lifted up . I rang the NH this morning and the RN said that she was all over the place and she isn't a well woman and I said about her fingernails looking blue and she said the Dr is monitoring this , well I really think they should keep giving her oxygen if this is the reason. Why they are turning blue. I found out she is on 20 mg of Abilify 1 per day. She is on a pill for her thyroid asprin for her blood and panadol. That's about all they are giving her now. Ok I am going I am not well have a nasty cold. Santa didn't even gift wrap it lol. Hugs Lyn
Guest guest
Lyn, Sorry to hear your MIL is giving up. Most people I think, tend to decide what they will and won't do and it is hard to help them decide differently. Hope the MD does their job. And hope he is monitoring her. Seems to me too, oxygen should be kept on if her fingers are blue. I wonder what they mean, the MD is monitoring her? Hope things go well. It hasn't been like this a Christmas in a long time. So much sickness. Hugs, Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh. She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine. Guest guest
Sorry you have the good old stomach virus. Santa wasn't nice to either of us lol. When I cough it just cuts right through my throat it just hurts, oh well it is getting better as time goes on. MIL has given up and to be honest she has no intention of helping herself. She was talking to the is person called Geoff the other day but there was no one there. Which I think is the sad part. Her daughter rang her the other day and she didn't want to talk to heart all She wont leave her room , even to go to the dining room to have her meals. I just wonder what she is thinking. Guest guest
i hope we both get better soon and you take care and just be ther for brian sounds like mum has made her decision and even if one doesnt like it, it is her right to decide that, as sad as it is. my dad ate up until the end but his mom who died 31 daysbefore dad stopped eatig and willed herself to go home to join her hubby, but she knew my dad , her baby boy was going o jion her soon, so i belive she waited for him and then as he was reachin to te heavens grabbed his hand and togethr they joined my grandpa. the njurse told me that dad started out pointing ot the heaven like he was looking for/at someone then he changed from pointing to reaching out to hold someones hand. he left peacefully but sadly it wasnt portrayed to me he was immenient in death so he died without a famly memberthere iwth him. to this day it still upsets me although it wasnt my fault. hugs, sharon m ---- Hugs Lyn wrote: Sorry you have the good old stomach virus.
