i dont know if you have hospice but they can help you with emergency respite

care, they are concerned about the cg and the patient, when i had a cancer

scare 2 years ago, hospice was ready to put dad in emergency respite for 3

months givingmea chance to heal post =op. but thankfully it didnt requrie major

surgery as itwas a fluid cyst.

please call and get help, a good cg knows when to take a break, say no to

those who ask for your help, and ask for help from friends, famly church,

hospice, ask hon, ask hugs sharon m

Christmas is right around the corner so it probably isn't doable

right now, but come next week we BETTER hear that you do something

for YOU. Whether you get a caregiver to do what you do for your mom

for a few days or you have your mom go on " vacation " in a home. And

YOU go to a spa or something. You NEED to -- if you don't take care

of yourself, who will be there for your mom?! And you know I don't

drive, but if there is ANYTHING that I can do to help in some way

PLEASE let me know!! Sorry if this post comes across harsh -- it's

not meant to be like that -- but you NEED to take care of yourself.

And your not going to the doctor's to get your skin checked is a

perfect example. I did the same thing -- skin too -- and luckily what

they found was benign... Still need to get to the dentist too for a

broken tooth that I procrastinated for over a year now. When I missed

that initial appt. mom was my priority -- but hello? ALL of us has to

have OURSELVES as our priority. We HAVE to -- it's not easy -- but we

HAVE to... And if it were me -- order OUT -- forget the cooking part.

I am daugher of Leonard, diagnosed May 2004, probably had lbd since 1993,.Dad

had a serious fall in 7/05 causing him to hav hip surgery .After that he

developed aspiration pneumonia 7/05 with pulmonary embolyis, which he almost

died from. He had a 2nd bout of aspiration pneumonia and uti 8/05. He died when

his blood pressure fluctuations started dropping without coming back up on

9/25/05,
