Guest guest Posted September 29, 2010 Report Share Posted September 29, 2010 Luckily as sick as I was in 1972 age 16 they never put me on steroids and yes did I drag for a long time with fatigue. Actually I was on steroids for like a month .Otherwise I took Nsaids( Naprosyn or motrin ) If your hubby must function and go to work and the docs think its wise then steroids could make him feel brand new. But with a cost...weight gain, and other things. Also..he may go into remission with out them. There is no way to know whats right...only the doctor knows for sure and I bet this topic can be debated. You also need to ask the rheumy if the arthritis is erosive...that is causing joint damage....mine didnt now I seem to have some but I feel it is osteoarthritis...will find out at my next visit as I will be 55 in MArch wow Bye now Liz Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
