Guest guest
Hello everyone, just wanted to give a little update. I havent been here in a while, I've been a little sick lately because of medication side effects and a cold I cant seem to get rid of completely. I saw my rheumy yesterday, and he says my bloodwork is looking better. My sed rate is down some and my liver enzymes are back to normal. The swelling in my hands is getting better as well. I supposed the Humira is starting to work, although the side effects dont seem worth it to me at the moment. I have a terrible rash on my arms right now, but he says its just a Still's rash. Ive never really had one for moe than a day at a time, so this is new for me. It also looks different, instead of the salmon colored rash I usually get, its more like pinpoint red dots everywhere. Anyone else have that rash? I still havent gotten the result from the biomarker bloodwork, but I am anxious to see what it says! Also, my eyelids are sooo very itchy, I almost want to pull out my eyelashes. He says it may be allergies? Im not sure, it seems to have started when I started the Humira so Im thinking maybe its a weird side effect? Other than that, I have been good. School is making me exhausted, but I think its worth it. Finals are next week, then I get a 3 week break. Hope everyone is doing well! -Jenifer
Guest guest
jennifer.....i am on my cell so my email isnt prolly gonna look so great...however the rash u speak of is called a pettechial rash...it is little areas were blood cappilaries break from trama...i.e. Its a bruise probably from scratching if ur running a lil anemic they can happen easier...also for strangle or drowning victims you will get pettechia in your eyes. I cant see your rash however look up pettechial rash on google and look at pictures this is not from stills however it or the medicine could be making it worse. Also pettechial rash itself doesnt itch it is just underneath ur skin....i hope this helps and i hope u feel bettor soon.....jenny
Guest guest
Hi Jenifer I am sorry that you may be having reaction to Humira. I also take Humira, but am very lucky that I have not had any side effects although I don't seem to notice much difference in helping the Stills so perhaps it is not working as well on me hence no side effects. Anyway hope you feel better soon and I am glad that you are managing to do well at School as it can't be easy. Best wishes Joan U.K.
