Guest guest
I live in Richmond, VA.. I'm already seeing a dr/neurosurgeon in Richmond.. I'm not quite pleased with him. I may seek a new doctor. Anyone from the Richmond area have any drs in mind.. Thanks.. I had surgery Dec 2009. And I gotta have surgery again.. I am not happy about it!!.. These are the three things that were done Chiari and Basilar invagination.. 1.odontoid/clivus (to relieve pressure from the front of the spinal cord) 2.occiput to C3 fusion (to provide stability thru the area) 3.posterior fossa decompression (to decompress the chiari malformation) Now I have some symptoms that are coming back.. Along with pain thats a lil different from before surgery(which has been the whole time since surgery).. I already have swallowing difficulty before surgery.. A few months ago, I contacted my neuros. and told him its gotten worse even after surgery.. I thought it may have to do with going through my mouth to do part of the surgery. but he said it looked fine in the back.. May look fine, but that doesnt mean anything.. He sent me to have a test done. So I have Flaccid Dysarthria, along with Dysphagia.... Its gotten worse in the past month.. Something has to be done about it.. I struggle all day long with liquids and food.. And I go with softer food so its not as bad.. But even that isnt working anymore.. It takes me 30 mins or a lil more to eat.. And by the time I finish, it seems like I just ate a snack.. Because I ate so slow.. Didnt even get full.. Wow, I just laid it all out for you guys.. lol.. Any help would be great..
