Guest guest
, What a wonderful way to present the doll. I am so glad it is going well for your Mom. It much be a bit of a relief for you to know she has something to " hang on to, " when you aren't there. It has to be a comfort for her. Great thinking and thanks for letting us know. This will be helpful for others who might be wanting to do the same thing. Hugs and Happy Holidays! Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh. She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine. Mom took to the doll Wanted you all to know that my mom took to the baby doll quite well. We went over on Saturday night with our 10-year old daughter carrying her as if she was her doll. When mom commented on the doll, our daughter asked her if she wanted to hold her. Mom immedietely took her up and held her like a real baby. We asked her if she would keep her at her place and take care of her so that when our daughter visited she could play with her. Mom said, " Oh, I would love that! " She told me yesterday that she took her to breakfast with her at the ALC and slept with her also. She is taking to her so well and taking care of her. She knows she is a doll but loves how real she is, " She is so cute and closes her eyes when she wants and I can't just leave her in the apartment by herself! " Thanks for the advice -- we'll see if this continues to be a good thing for mom.
