Guest guest
please re-read your email Any advice? I am in one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't situations. I really don't have a choice to make or, well let me rephrase that, I don't have a good choice to make... I have to make one.As all of you know who read my journal, I have MS. I have tried Betaseron in the past which caused some major depression issues with me and so I stopped the injections. Between the time I stopped those injections to the time I started a new drug I have suffered from three distinct attacks (bladder, bowels and feet) as well as progression in the disease itself (permanent bladder problems, spasticitiy in my legs and memory problems). I started on Copaxone on February 7th and started having horrible migraines within a week. My doctor had me stop the injections on the 22nd and had me try a half dosage on the 1st which gave me a migraine the next day. And when I say migraines I mean eye blurring pain. My next drug option is/was Tysabri which was pulled on Feb 28th, so.... I'm screwed. I know there are two other drugs (Avonex and Rebif), but they are the same thing as Betaseron, as in the same side effects including the depression. So my choices... Betaseron (or drug like it) and get as depressed as I used to, crying at work for no reason, thinking about suicide again, popping pills that don't seem to work. Copaxone and get the eye blurring, can't see the computer screen, the customers splitting my head open migraines. Or willingly sit back and watch my MS take more of my life away from me.
