Anyone have a functional capacity evaluation

My local rheumy suggested a functional capacity evaluation. Said may help my

disability claim. Anyone ever have one, I asked about cost and insurance

coverage, she did not know. I asked If I could call her back after my

appointments with s Hopkins. She said was fine.

I never heard of it - went on line and this seems to explain it in great detail.

Yes, I had one. Mine was three days long and it was exhausting. But it made a

huge difference for SSDI and LTD. I found that doing it was worth the effort,

especially at the ssdi hearing. Hopes that helps… They have you do really

funky stuff… they take your blood pressure through-out the day, measure your

knees to see if they are getting swollen ect. But I was surprised by how many

changes happened over the hours in the day and from day to day.

If you can get the money together to do it, you should. They can’t argue

numbers.
