Guest guest
Hi all , I was just wondering if any of you could help me out. I am a 24yr old female who was just given the diagnosis of Chiari Malformation. I have had 2 MRI's in the past month and finally am seeing a neurosergeon on Monday. This appointment was to be a few weeks ago but my MRI was delayed. When I was to have my appointment I had someone to go with me now I am going on my own. I am wondering if anyone can give me some questions to ask as I am taking a note pad with me and I don't want to miss anything. Thanks Jules
Guest guest
Welcome! I am a 24 year old female as well and would love to email with you if you'd like. My brain isn't too strong this morning but the one question that popped into my mind.... Ask how many of these type of surgeries he has done and what has been the success rate. Also ask if he has had any patients with serious complications or death and if so, how many. I was trying to remember what I asked my surgeon and these were at the top of my concern list for sure! Hope that helps some. Cortney
