Guest guest
Deborah, I don't think anyone really knows. But I"m thinking that weaning can't hurt. I think doing cold turkey off of anything can be shocking to the system. And your's is delicate right now. So, if you want to get off of the P, slowly wean down. Liz __________________________________ Liz Vernand www.ojaipaintedminis.com How does one go about getting off the progesterone cream? Do you do it cold turkey or just reduce your dosages?. Guest guest
Hi Debbie, You might need a little E but I don't want to start suggesting things and getting you more confused. I don't know for a fact if there are going to be any withdrawals from P. Maybe cycle the P? Are you using it everyday? I forgot are you still having periods? What is your dosage for the Ativan? Also, if you monkey with your doses on the Ativan , you could likely feel the effects a day or so later. So, stay VERY consistent with that. Are you trying to wean off the Ativan yet? If it were me, I would wait until I got off the P, tried to get a bit stable and then SLOWLY wean off. If you need help with that, private email me. Guest guest
Hi Liz Yes i am still having periods and i don't take a break from the cream , the dr. said use it every day, i am going to wait until i am off the cream before i wean off the ativan i don't think i should go off of them at the same time, i have in the past went off the cream cold turkey and did not seem to have any withdrawls, i did ask my dr. about the estrogen and he told me no since i was stillhaivng periods, i don;t understand why he said that, i have to take my daughter in law in to see him on the 12th and i am going to ask him to give me a perscrip for estrogen,, but i don't know what to tell him, he will work with me, if i talk to him he will do what ever i ask him to do, i was the one that suggested i use the p cream and he had no problem with that and i took my daughter in law in for her thyroid and told him i wanted her to try armour thyroid and he gave her a prescription for it, he said he would of rather her of taken the synthroid but he said she could try the armour. i take .05 of the ativan 3 times a day. Do you have a suggestion as to what i should tell my doctor i really don;t know how to explain it to him. Guest guest
Debbie, Have you had your levels checked? You might want to check ask to have them checked on day 12 and day 21 of your cycle. Just get a lab slip if you can. Then maybe that will give you some clue. Maybe get your FSH and LH checked to. I'm not sure if these need to be checked on certain days. Or just ask for some E, though not sure what form you want to try and then give it a try. You will not get cancer from using it for a month or 2. Are you seeing a Gyn or just a GP? Guest guest
Hello Liz and Debbie: Liz, I think your suggestions to Debbie are good and Debbie, I hope you follow up with them. Liz has given some good detail about what to ask for/testing (her info has helped me this past week) . I'm really just adding my agreement here as I know Debbie is struggling w/the Pcream symptoms, somehting I can relate to. ElleBlue > > Debbie, > > Have you had your levels checked?
