If Only I were ol' Santa

Here's a poem I have been working to share with all this Holiday I think it is a perfected as it's gonna get with me so sick! Love TO ALL, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EACH OF YOU MY FIBRO FAMILY!

If Only I were ol' Santa

If I were ol' Santa, you know what I'd do? I'd dump silly gifts that are given to you, And deliver some things just inside your front door- Things you have lost, but treasured before. I'd give back to you all your maidenly vigor, And to go along with it, a neat tiny figure. Then restore the old color that once graced your hair Before rinses and bleaches took residence there. I'd bring back the shape with which you were gifted So things now suspended need not be uplifted. I'd draw in your tummy and smooth down that achy fibro back Till you'd be a dream in those tight-fitting slacks.

I'd remove all your wrinkles and leave only one chin So you wouldn't spend hours looking for Salonpas to put on your skin. You'd never have flashes, fogs or queer dizzy spells, And you wouldn't hear noises like ringing of bells. No fibro, No sore, aching feet and no corns on your toes, No searching for glasses in the fog when they're right on your nose.

Not a pill or a shot would you take in your arm, hip or fanny From a doctor who thinks you're a fibro nut, old granny. You'd never have headaches, no pills would you take, And no heating pad needed, since your fibro muscles won't ache. Yes, if I were Santa, I give it all to you so you'd never look stupid. You'd be a cute little chick with the romance of a cupid. I'd give a lift to your heart when wolves start to Howl and winds whistle. And the non-painful cares of your heart would be light as a thistle. But alas! I'm not Santa. I'm just another frbromite, I'm simply just me; The matronest before fibro of matrons you ever did see. I wish I could tell you all the symptoms I've got, But I'm due at my doctor's for an estrogen shot. Even though we've grown older this wish is sincere: Merry Christmas to you, and a Happy New YearCopyright By: "WolfPoet" Piercey-Gates Nov. 2003

Now as I always say this at the end of my e-mails: IF GOD BRINGS YOU TO IT. HE WILL BRING YOU THROUGH IT. This has became my philosophy.

This is precious !! Thanks for posting it. How are you today,

sweetie?

My sister Eileen is coming today for our " Big Foot Hunting Trip " ,

which I hope turns into a " stay at home and gab " trip. LOL

I've made all the Christmas presents I will give to my inlaws this

year. I didn't buy any for our own household. I told my kids we'd

get something in January. They know how tight money is right now.

The main goals each day are exercising and helping him to

regain his balance and ability to walk. Then getting the housework

done and eating. Matt and Tina (my son and his girlfriend) have been

coming almost every day. I've been so worried for him because he's

down to the wire to get money or move back home.

He had an interview at Walmart this week and was sent for a drug

test. The only bad thing is the job he picked is unloading the

trucks and Matt has a bad back already. I just hope he can hold on

until the 90 day trial thing is up and he can transfer.

At least it's money and I praise God for the opportunity. Work is

very scarce here.

I made cookbooks for my inlaws, put them in 50 cent plastic folders

from Walmart. I drew two portraits and may do some more if I can get

pictures of my brother in law's parents, I'll try them.

I covered tin cans with wall paper border stuff for pencil holders

etc. I picked up pecans to give to the older folks who'd appreciate

them. I still want to dig up some flowers and put in those covered

tin cans, but I don't know how to mail them, so they'll be for close

by family and the mail man, etc.

My boys want specific things, books and computer parts that will

upgrade their machines, so there is nothing I can do about that until

next month. Danny wants math and C++ books, Matt wants a Visual

Basic with Direct X book. LOL

At least I'm proud that they're only wanting to learn, and aren't out

on the streets.

The other side of THAT, though, is that the kids out on the streets

getting in trouble will end up knowing how to take care of themselves

and not be afraid to meet people and bull their way through life.

Ah well, there's good and bad in every choice we make. I guess we

just have to make the best out of everything available to us.

I'm glad to see JJ posting and hear from everyone who's able to write.

Take care and God bless.
