Guest guest
Hi JJ! Nice to meet you! Thank you for the reply! I know my husband has sleep apnea, so maybe I'm hiting him! His snoring keeps me awake something awlful. But I love him anyway. We have one of those airbeds, so we don't have a headboard, because that would hve been my first guess also. I might be hitting something else though, so maybe I will move things around a bit and see if that helps! Welcome to the group! Guest guest
Lauri -- it's not trivial if it's something that concerns you. The doctor works for YOU, not the other way around. :-) There are various things that can make a person get "mystery bruises" including bumping into things without remembering; a couple of blood tests can rule out things like iron deficiency, blood sugar imbalances, and so on. The doctor can poke and prod at your hands and do some range of motion tests, and tell you if it's "just" the fibro or if something else is going on. Guest guest
Hello Lauri I'm JJ , I had the same problem before I was diagnosed with Sleep apnea I fought allot in my sleep or just twist and turned from the pain in my back and in the process bang myself up pretty good. That's why I got rid of my headboard and footboard LOL. JJ questions about mysterious bruises Hi All! I have kind of a dumb question. Does anyone know anything about bruises that appear out of nowhere? I seem to get them. I mentioned that to my husband and he said that I could have bumped into something without remembering. I don't walk very well and have gotten so used to bumping into things and falling that most of the time, I don't pay attention. but for the past couple of weeks, my wrists have been sore when I wake up. Almost as though I had handwritten a King novel. I am having a hard time lifting things and using my hands because of my wrists. Today when I got up, I had the same thing, sore, hardly able to use my hands. But today I noticed a mysterious bruise on each of my wrists right in the middle where my hand "bends." I showed those to Bill and now he finally believes me that I am bruising for no reason. He bought me supports so that I can use my hands during the day, but I still wonder if I should be concerned. I bother my doctor for everything. He never complains when I go to see him, but I feel this is too "trivial" to bother him with. I figured until I can't use my hands, then I won't worry too much. My friend suggests we have a ghost in the house. LOL. If anyone can offer a solution or even suggestions, I would really appreciate it.Hugs & Love~Lauri

Guest guest
Join the club Lauri, Only with me it's my ankles and I have swellin g too. At times it's all I can do to walk across the room. I have heel cushions for my shoes and wrist supports [several kinds] that I use outside or washing dishes..can never quite get them clean. I have other bruises that crop up now and then that I have don't remember getting but I take ASA 5 grain every day.[previous CVA] I've heard some people get them more often because they have small blood vessels closer to the surface than normal. You may have to have an iron count done. Low hemaglobin will manifest with easy bruising. Check under your eye lid [lower] Is it pale? When you press on your finger nail does it return to a pink color or stay white for awhile? Just a few home tests you can do. Also are your gumlines pale or do your teeth bledd when you brush them? Soooooo ,,,,, Definitly not a 'dumb' question. LOL Hugs from afar, k > I have kind of a dumb question. Does anyone know anything about bruises > that appear out of nowhere? I seem to get them.
