HI ,

Welcome to our group! Yep, on balance, life in the OC is great. I read a

survey in a women's magazine last month that has it rated as " the

healthiest place in the US for women to live " ! Well us WLS gals are

certainly getting healthier.

Your losses are fantastic - don't stress about the plateau - it will

pass. Same problem here - but I think most of it is down to

constipation! YUCK!

Hi Robyn and everyone!!!

Thank you Robyn for inviting me to join your group. My name is

, I

currently live in Missouri. I'm one of those the marriage didnt survive

the

WLS. So me and the kids are heading back to CA in June after they get

out of

school. I lived in San Diego when I was younger. We are very excited

and are

wanting to move to the Orange County area. I had Lap RNY on July 19,

2004.

I've lost 70 pounds so far. Combined with the weight I lost prior to

surgery

thats 104 pounds this year. Can hardly believe it. Though I seem to be

at a

plateau (my first one) and its aggrevating!!! But anyway, I wanted to

say hello

and cant wait to make new friends!

Thank you thank you. I tell you its weird, I'm excited as all get out about

moving, but at the same time scared to death!! Everyone tells me thats not me.

I'm usually not one to get scared, but for some reason I am. Go figure. :)

Thanks for the welcome!!

Congratulatons on your weight loss so far. You've made remarkable

Hi fellow Missourian!

I live in St. Louis --where are you located? Congrats on

being a big loser but I'm sorry to hear about your marriage. It

sounds like you've got a good plan for recovering from it--that's a

good thing!

Good morning all I'm Carole from Oklahoma City....just turned 39 on June 7....married 18 yrs....2 children both boys ages 22 and 15.I was just diagnosed with MS the day after Memorial Day...the first symptom I noticed was that I woke up one morning in early April and my right leg was numb I waited a week then called my doctor who sent me to a neurologist, did the MRI thing he found at least 8 lesions on my brain. He prescribed Rebif..which I came about a week ago, now we're waiting (still) for the nurse to come over for the injection training.

Hi Carole:

I'm glad to have you with us. You had a quick diagnosis! Had you ever had any symptoms before that you can now attribute to MS?

I've had parts of my face feel numb in the past, like my lip ....and when I think about it there had been some blurred vision mostly at night but I never considered it "blurred" I didn't think much about it because my mother started having trouble with her night vision when she was about my age.....there were times in the past where I seemed to lose my balance for no reason (but who doesn't once in awhile...right?)

Hi

I am new to this group. My husband was diagnosed with Chiari 2 yrs back but the

symptoms where under control. Now he has started feeling numbness in his tongue

and finger tips. We live in Chicago and I am trying to find a good neurosurgeon

in Chicago area. Could anyone please suggest a hospital/neurosurgeon who

specializes in this.

Appreciate your help

thanks
