Guest guest
I took Ari to her pediatrician Friday. Exactly as I predicted/expected, she diagnosed her with " back strain " . Sigh. The child has done nothing to strain her back, and it has been hurting continually and badly for four weeks straight. She recommended alternating cold and heat and taking Motrin, all of which we've already been doing for a month. Ari continues to describe the pain as internal. It isn't really tender anywhere to the touch. Certain positions do make it easier to pinpoint the pain, but it hurts all the time. The doctor did order back x-rays. She said with her hypermobility it's possible a disc slipped or something. She just finished getting the x-rays done, since the first time we took her the orders weren't in (frustrating). Any ideas? (Barbara, I know you said before that this is how your daughter's Chiari and SM first presented.) Thanks, Beth, for Ari (12, 22mm ACM, RO/BI, FAHS- cousin of EDS) Sent from my iPhone
