Please help me!!

I reported to you all a few weeks ago, that the neurologist casually

mentioned an abnormality in my daughter's brain in the frontal lobe that

he had never mentioned before and refused to elaborate on. Well, I was

so angry that I made an appointment with another neurologist at another

hospital and requested the records sent to him. The receptionist only

wanted the neurology records but as a precaution, I requested the MRI

reports and also that duplicate copies be sent to me. I just got them

today and I am furious!!!

In addition to reporting cerebral hypoplasia (definition anyone?) in the

first MRI, the second one (done 16 months later) reports a lesion

posterior to the left choroidal fissure most likely representing an

arachnoid cyst. Does anyone know what an arachoid cyst means? I have 2

long weeks to go before our neurology appointment and I am a wreck. The

report also states that a follow up MRI is recommended in 6 months (this

was 14 months ago, and no one has ever told me of a lesion or of any

need for a follow up MRI so of course she hasn't had one. Any comments

would be appreciated. Pleeeease say many prayers for me, I have not

been this worried about my daughter since her last open heart surgery.

My wild imagination is worried about many unspeakable things. This

doesn't look like a simple error. The remainder of the report matches

my daughter's previous MRI and everything else is in order. I just hope

this isn't something very serious.

Jeanne McMullen mom to Caitlyn who needs many prayers right now.
