We just went through this topic in another group and lots of folks seemed to agree with you. I also do not care for lengthy paragraphs. If they are more than 2 inches deep, I usually don't read them. Which is a real shame, as they sometimes contain great content. Same for lengthy stream-of-consciousness type sentences that just keep going... and going. They are just too hard to read, so I don't. Since I write for others and would like them to read my stuff, I try to make it as easy as possible for them to receive my message. Writing in shorter bursts helps to avoid potential misunderstandings too. Best, ~CJ
Guest guest
Another thing that would be very helpful and more conducive to the list would be if everyone would clean up the posts. Delete unnecessary text, clearly mark what you are saying by spaces, your name, and/or whatever works! We really need back to keep us all in line on this one. The list was SO much easier to read back when he railed at everyone. Lengthy paragraphs can't always be helped as some of us think that way, it's just who we are. I will however attempt to shorten my thoughts and change the format when addressing the group as a whole or either of you! Jennie P.S. Shorter bursts do not always avoid misunderstanding.... sometimes it leaves too much up to the imagination/assumption. ;-) > Dan Walters wrote: >> I not sure if everyone has this trouble but if there is 5 or more lines >> of text together, I get lost on trying to read the message. Guest guest
I've been known to have very long, lengthy posts on here. So, I've tried to make them more manageable over time. Not always easy, given that I can ramble on and on and on and.... I'm very hopeful that 2010 will be a much better year for me in posting. Definitely, nothing like the past when every 9th or 10th post was mine. Those days are long, long gone So, there, I have made this post much more manageable to read.. *pat on back*. > > I just like to add a small posting to say how I like to convey messages. > > I not sure if everyone has this trouble but if there is 5 or more lines of text together, I get lost on trying to read the message.
