Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm interested to find out if anyone has read Noel Batten's Book, "Multiple Sclerosis, the Biggest Medical Mistake". He is 52 and was diagnosed at the age of 14. He feels that having your body reajusted by a chiropractor can help us with many of our symptoms? His website is very interesting, but before I buy the book was wondering if anyone hear has read it. Since this is off topic, you can respond to my personal e-mal at lbaden@.... Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.
Guest guest
my chiros have also been my Number 1 Support since the DX. Not just medically, not just chiropractically, but Support. My chiro's son graduated and joined his dad's practice in the middle of my 3/02-5/02 exacerbation. He watched his dad for a month working with me and adjusting me, then asked if he could adjust me (was going to say "have a crack at me" LOL). He was quite different than his dad. His first adjustment was 2 days before the end of my exacerbation, his dad adjusted me 2 days later and we did a treatment called an extensilizer. That was the final day of my problem, never came back. Since that day, the son took over and except for an occasional extensilizer treatment, I've been seeing the son exclusively. He's been more than just my chiro, we talk about all sorts of things, I discuss all my medical issues with him, when I go to other docs, we talk about the visits. He took over as my number 1 support in all areas. I have seen some 6 week stretches before, but I still go 1-3 times a month, depending on the weather and personal activity. Who knows where I'd be without them. I was taken to the father in 1989 and on my first visit he said he thinks I was born with SBO. He treated me accordingly ever since. My lumbar MRI in 2002 asked for a CT scan and the CT scan diagnosed me with, you got it, SBO! I've been in good hands, and probably still walking, because of them. I probably would have been DX with MS by 1992 if not for them. I got an extra 10 years of freedom before the big one in 2002. They told me I should probably seek a neuro, but we found cause each time and resolved them, so I never did until 2002 and only because it affected my typing. THAT was too far, I had to know what could cause THAT! Re: [low dose naltrexone] Noel Batten's Book Never read Noel Batten's book but I agree with Larry. I went to a chiro that practices the NUCCA method of upper cervical subluxation. It is a very gentle maneuver of the Atlas in my neck. I find when I have maore than normal difficulty walking and my hips hurt.....I need an adjustment.( My one leg gets shorter and I can barely walk at all) After my adjustment, I usually walk out with my usual limp as compared to crawling in with a walker in pain. I now know my body signs and go only when I need to. Usually every 6 weeks. When your spine is crooked, the nerves can't send the signals straight......makes sense, no?
