I am thinking dmso and a iodine solution would work well, if it was an inflammation. You wear it in your shorts when you go to bed. I got one for my husband and he says it's not uncomfortable at all. It helped him from having to get up so many times during the night. Or, you may want to look into the godzilla device, which is a 6 volt battery device you can make at home for under $10. There is a variation on that godzilla that is called a wrist godzilla. The men that used that wrist godzilla for a few weeks have reported that they no longer had to get up at night at all. This device puts a small current into the blood stream via the veins at the wrist. Used for 20 minutes once or twice a day it apparently kills viruses in the blood, which apparently have seemed to congregate in the prostate. There have been no lab or medical tests to prove shrinkage of the prostate, but too many men on the germkiller group (where the files and photos on building these devices are) have reported that their need to get up during the night have vanished to doubt the ability of the wrist godzilla to work for that problem. We only think there's a pretty good chance we do, so we treat it as though we do. The area of swelling of my own Prostate I have access to is just before the entrance into the Bladder; just before the sphincter, the muscle that opens and closes the Bladder. I went into the system, touched the sphincter, said to myself " That's far enough " and pressed the solution out and into the system. What I'm hoping is that I got enough to treat the Prostate. I'm thinking that next time I'll go into the sphincter just a bit to get to both edges of the swelling and the let the DMSO and the molasses and Baking Soda do their thing. Now, do you know that iodine not introduced through the stomach is okay; just a direct application is okay; either IV or IM? Some things I wonder about; appreciate your good thoughts. Obie. I went into the system, touched the sphincter, said to myself " That's far enough " and pressed the solution out and into the system. I don't know if this will be of any interest/help to you, but on another forum I am on, one gentleman takes Avodart to shrink his prostate and is very happy with it. Many times I just let it stay in for the evening while I sleep; have a night when I don't need to wake up; great sleep. My own plan is to stop all Bacteria in the Bladder with 2% Hydrogen Peroxide prior to going forward with treatment; kills all adverse bacteria in less than 10 seconds; then we can go forward. Now, when we go in we're approaching a clean environment; no need for concern about bacteria. Of course, I don't know all the answers but I most certainly do know about the Bladder and Catheters, been doing this for 7 years for my Lady, no problem now. And would you speak to the Bee Pollen issue, please? Obie. It sounds uncomfortable and I'd worry the iron in the molasses would feed bacteria so they could proliferate! Why not just take bee pollen? And if it does, you cannot come back..............it is a permanet type thing. but it does not affect everyone the same, some find it works well. It s still 6 volts, but you get a small double A battery holder from Radio Shack. It will hold 4 batteries or sometimes you can get a 3 battery holder It's a bit less voltage, but is smaller for smaller wrists. Some people get the 4 battery holder and only put in 3 batteries, which is actually 4.5 volt, which works fine. You make tiny sponges out of cotton material or something natural to attach to the wires that come out of the battery holder. You then place one electrode on one side of the vein in the wrist and one in the other side of the vein. If you look at your wrist there's a ridge/tunnel (carpal tunnel) that you place the electrodes on on each side of that tunnel--which will cover' the vein. Then you use the zilla for 20 minutes on one wrist. Since these are small and you don't have a current switch you simply turn the zilla around every 5 minutes so that you actually get current running in both directions for 10 minutes for each session. If you go to the germkiller list you'll find the photos for making the wrist zilla, and instructions for using it. Very simple.
