Yes, you are right, but that 45 mg. dose is meant to be spread over 2 days. You

only insert

it 6 X in 12 days. So the dose is supposed to be gradually released, at 22.5 mg.

per day. I

hated it, though. I may have been absorbing it all at once because I had a

migraine the

whole time. Recently I tried the 200 mg. oral progesterone and didn't have near

the side

effects as I had on Prochieve, but I didn't have a period afterwards. I am

almost 61, so

maybe bleeding eventually stops. Does anybody know any women in their 70's and

80's

still having periods? I guess they would bleed if they were on Wiley Protocol,

but not many

women would start that in their 70's! I use 2 mg. daily estradiol gel now

instead of oral

Tri-est. I guess it has less effect on my endometrium. ---Rosette

I am 60. I don't know when the bleeding stops. If it does, however, and you are using exogenous estrogen, you should have a yearly vaginal ultrasound.

I'm doing well on the 200 mg oral Prometrium.

I use Prometrium for 9 - 12 days/month, 200 mg orally.
