Guest guest
-----Original Message----- From: Goldstein December 10, 2001 Dear Friends and Supporters, We did it! Thanks to the determination and hard work of all of you, the Broward County NAAR Walk was a great success! An estimated 2,500 people came to walk at C.B. Park and over $125,000 has been collected thus far. More donations continue to come in daily! Our day began with a meteor shower in the sky and as we set up we knew it would be a wonderfully fun and successful event. We were very fortunate to have the Marino family, as well as Tony Segreto, from NBC6 and Footie from Y100, contribute their valuable time and participate in our event. It was a special treat hearing Seaman play " God Bless America " on her flute. All contributions received after the November 18th walk date will be credited to your 2001 team. Please mark the memo section of the checks with your team name. Team totals and awards will be based on amounts received in our local office by December 31, 2001, however, we are very happy to accept donations after that as well. Please send all additional contributions to: NAAR, 980 North Federal Highway, Suite 310, Boca Raton, FL 33432 Thanks again to all who volunteered their time and energy to help. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the food donors for their generous contributions. The next several weeks will be spent collecting outstanding pledges and determining prizes and awards. Broward’s substantial contribution of $125,000, is in addition to more than $3 million that NAAR has raised in ten other walks that have taken place throughout the country. We are pleased and honored to have been a part of this gratifying event for such a worthy and deserving organization. We are confident that NAAR will utilize our hard-earned donations proficiently and wisely. A formal awards reception will be held in February to express our thanks and gratitude to all of you: from the committees and the 75 team captains to the multitude of volunteers in bright blue. Rest assured we left a lasting imprint for autism research. Thank you, for everything.
