Guest guest
Hi , I'm in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia - beautiful one day, perfect the next - except for those times when we need to escape high humidity! Brisbane-ites love Brisbane so at the risk of sounding like a tourist brochure ... Brisbane's subtropical climate provides plenty of opportunities to gain sun exposure in Summer and through Winter. Brisbane is also perfectly positioned for day or weekend trips to the Gold Coast (lively) or Sunshine Coast (more relaxed) - all within one hour's drive. Here's a webcam site so you can check out some of the beaches: http://www.coastalwatch.com.au/contents/default2.aspx Gold Coast Beaches - Surfers Paradise, Burleigh Heads, Currumbin, Kirra Sunshine Coast Beaches - Noosa, Sunshine Beach, andra Headland, Kings Beach (Caloundra) Okay - may have gotten a little sidetracked there ... Regarding Vitamin D intake; here's a link that may be of interest as it discusses Vitamin D sources, intake, safety, and so on: vitamin D http://www.wholehealthmd.com/refshelf/substances_view/1,1525,905,00.html Regards, Cris [low dose naltrexone] Re: Sunshine & Multiple Sclerosis Cris, I live in NYC--Manhattan actually--which is only hot and humid during the summer. I've been thinking about your question regarding how much sun I get and I'm honestly not sure if I do get an adequate amount. I take two buses to work everyday and often go outside during my lunch break, so I get SOME sun. I used to wear a hat all summer, but after my MS diagnosis I gave that up. I take about 1000 mg of Vitamin D. Perhaps I'm not getting enough...
