Guest guest Posted January 14, 2011 Report Share Posted January 14, 2011 Today I was DX with gastroparesis...Has anyone been DX with this. I had surgery for Chiari in 2008. My symtoms have been worse..still headaches and now I can't digest food..My Gastro/DX said I have gastroparesis. The doctor wants to send me to a surgeon and have an implant somewhat like a heart pacemaker placed on my stomach to make my stomach digest food. I have never heard of this and from what I have read it could have something to do with my Vagas nerve..I don't want to have another surgery that makes me worse or kills me. The other options is a feeding tube...I contuine to lose weight and cannot digest food...can someone help...I live in TN and had to travel out to CO for my Chiari surgery..we do not have the money to go out there now.
