Guest guest Posted August 16, 2010 Report Share Posted August 16, 2010 Saturday afternoon Maddy had a grand mal seizure. We went to the ER,they did scans etc. They said she probably is coming down with a virus and take her home. Yesterday afternoon we were called back to the ER because they said the blood cultures showed some bacteria growth so she was admitted.She has a mediport so admitting doctor said she suspects line sepsis. She is on 2 different antibiotics. Her headache is still very bad,and they arent doing anything except tylenol,motrin,I had to ask for something stronger so they gave lortab which doesnt help. Nsg,neurology and peds will be by this morning. I wonder if they should tap her shunt as well. She isnt eating or drinking very well this morning.
