STILLS DISEASE CONFERENCE INFORMATION 2010

Our conference will be held this year at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las

Vegas, Nevada.

Our Conference speaker this year is Carole 'Cat' Triller.

Carole will be speaking on Chronic Pain and Depression with an ongoing illness.

Specifically Still's Disease that will include an in depth discussion with the

audience on depression and suicide. Carole will also be including information on

ways to improve health by changing and watching diets as well as meditation,

visualization and deep breathing for pain control. She will also have

information on medications for depression that can help with some pain issues.

Carole has been the President of the International Still's Disease Foundation

since it's inception before 2000.

Carole's diagnoses was Adult Onset Still's Disease, AOSD, in 1994 and like many

she waited four years for a diagnosis. She went through the " usual " systemic

forms of the disease and then had it move into a chronic stage. Over the years

she has found semi-remission, but with damage to both knees. She will be having

the first of her joint replacements after the conference this year.

Carole currently volunteers with Peer Support Services, a branch of the CMHA (

Canadian Mental Health Assoc) She works as an Advocate for people with Mental

and Physical Disabilities. She spends time on the Psychiatric ward at the local

hospital, and her dog Jake and she visit a residential setting where he is the

star and she is his side-kick.

Carole also Facilitates a Chronic Pain Group, where they deal with the very real

issue of the Depression that goes with it.

She also maintains the Still's Disease Foundations Crisis Line for those needing

emotional support.

Carole 'Cat' says, " Come and share your journey with us at the 2010
