Let me ask you a few questions! Are you mad, upset at, or have any negative feelings towards YOUR MOTHER or GRANDMOTHER or even farther back for giving this to you if in fact it was even passed on to you??????? I didn't think so! And yes it can pass geneticly from one generation to another and it doesn't have to come from a mother it can be a father or grandfather, don't forget MEN do get this as well. Jackie we simply CAN NOT BLAME IT ALL ON US! I got it from my Mother (Who is a quiet member here), and I know my Daughter has it although she never has been DX'd! But it would be a sad world if we ran around blaming each other wouldn't it? We can't fix it. If a person get's this it is brought on by a higher power that I choose to call God! And I have never seen anyone stop him before. There are many that go for many generations and only 1 ever gets fibro or maybe none! Then it may also skip around where cousins have it but no sister and brothers share it or no mothers or fathers share it with thier kids. You just NEVER know what life holds. That is like trying to out guess God. You can't do it!

So Jackie PLEASE don't waste the time on being guilty before the fact. None of them have it now if you start feeling guilty and all now it's like you are cursing them. In fact my daughter says I cursed her by always whining that I hoped she wouldn't get it from me but that I was almost sure she'd have it since me and Mother had it and yep NOW she has it! And she throws it up to me that I cursed her, I willed it upon her or dreadly worse that I wished it on her (when she gets mad at me). THAT is the time if you are going to feel guilty to do it AFTER THE FACT if and when they throw it up to you because you willed it on them by feeling guilty before they had it.

So Sweetie PLEASE let go of it. Live your life the best you can now while you can before you are robbed of even MORE of it! WE NEVER know what life holds for us we could all be killed by Terrorists next week and then look how much time was wasted on feeling guilty! I was married to a man that I was SURE, POSITIVE would be Killed in a car wreck due to alcohol because you NEVER seen him without one morning or night! Finally he gave up drinking and our marriage was 90% better. Then he was headed to work one morning and a DRUNK crossed the median and hit is little car with a HUGE Linclon HEAD ON! You couldn't even tell what kind of car my Husband was driving. My Husband died and the Drunk lived! I had this same sinerio happen to me twice! I was married to another young man that loved his drinking, he had a job out of town one day and the car broke down. He went to cross the Hwy. to call for a tow truck or some kind of help and a Ford Ranchero (another drunk driver) came over the hill flying and hit him and broke every bone in his body they said he never knew what hit him. So you see Sweetie I said over and over that BOOZE would kill both of them and IT DID but not from them drinking it! DID I CURSE THEM????? I still wonder about that????? So Hun turn a loose of the guilt and LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted you to know I went back and printed this letter of, I

keep it with me and when I get to feeling that way, I read it. It

does 2 things, makes me feel better, casue you are right, I don't

blame my mother for the heart problems that run Very strong in her

family, and 2 casue you are just so darn sweet... Love ya. Jackie---
