Guest guest
Hello Still's family, Thought I would drop in and give an update. I read all of the posts and welcome all our new members, glad you found us, sorry it has to be under these conditions. Some of you know that my Still's started as the systemic kind and have slowly had several surgeries over the past 2 years removing various organs, spleen, stomach, some of my intestines, gallbladder, etc... Compounding all of this is the fact that I also have B-cell Lymphoma(which I am happy to say is now confirmed that it is in remission) The Still's has just recently found its way into my joints, muscles, and any other place it can find. Next Tuesday I am having another bone marrow biopsy, seems that I have severe inflammation of the lining of my bones where your bone marrow is stored. My WBC for the past 5 weeks has slowly climbed from 37,000 to todays 45,000. Fevers everyday in access of 102 degrees. I am exhausted mentally and physically. Today at my Rheumatologist appt. the only thing they can do for me is to increase my steroids and keep me comfortable with pain medication until the biopsy is done. Don't like either of these especially the increase in steroids and I don't do pain medication. Everyone take care, and remember tomorrow is a new day, take one day at a time. Still's is different for everyone, medications that work for one may not work for another. Praying for all of those who are having trouble at the moment and wishing that you find the inner peace to deal with this dreaded Dragon. Many hugs,
