Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am sorry I haven't been able to reply to everyone individually. I wish I felt good enough to do so. It seems like everyone is going through rough times, between ssdi and the dragon. I went to my Rheumy last Thursday (first time since I had been sick in May and had to be hospitalized by My GP). I had my second dose of Acterma. It seems to make a big difference for me in regards to my pain In my joints. I was afraid to try it again after having to be hospitalized in May, but he convinced me that We should stay the course because steroids actually reduce your immune system more than any of the Biologics (according to him) and because we know that I was probably introduced to the bug before I Had the first dose of Acterma. So the plan is to see how I do on Acterma and get off of steroids. (stay on Methotrexate). And hopefully not Get the bad infections. My family has been hit hard with more issues as my Uncle has terminal Cancer and my Aunt (his wife) is getting tested for Lung cancer. We are just taking things Day-by-Day right now as that is about all we can do. Anyway, I hope that everyone is having some time to enjoy a little bit of summer. I know that it is Hard to do when you feel sick all the time, but I still try to find small ways to enjoy the different seasons and to find Ways to remember the blessings we do have in our lives even when the cup is half empty (or barely anything in it). When I Can find one or two little things to be thankful for, it makes a big difference in my life. Hugs to all, Alli
