Just interested in knowing what " OOE " stands for .. . I have seen it

in several posts and suspect it is a type of estrogen . . . estrogel

perhaps? Also am interested in knowing the pros/cons re. different

types of estrogen - in particular, biest, triest & estrogel. I

already know that biest and triest have different percentages of

estrone, estadial & estriol, but would really appreciate some

feedback/experiences on which is best to use.

with thanks,

Sadie

OOE stands for estradiol that is in olive oil.  It is a two ingredient deal = E and olive oil. There's a little history about it in regard to this group. When we were on the Wiley Protocol and trying to figure out why we felt rotten we looked at many options.  Wiley kept telling us that we just needed good product - her product from her pharmacy.  But we still felt bad so we looked at the ingredients in the cream.  The list of the ingredients in the HRT cream is in the file section on the our yahoo page.   Lynnlalala was using olive oil to transport her estradiol into her skin and she said she was getting good blood levels.  Wiley told us there was no way that would work - she said we had to use her product to get "good E".  We felt rotten in the luteal phase on so much P.  She said we needed all that P or we might get cancer.  She thinks estrogen is a carcinogen - NOT.  She told us that if we had GOOD E that really worked right then we wouldn't feel bad in the P phase.  You can read how things went down with some excerpts at this linkhttp://www.rhythmicliving.com/research_in_the_garage.htmlBTW, Wiley recently, on the NotRhythmicLiving group announced that she was offering her stuff in a non-toxic base.  All the stuff we told her over a year ago.  I'm wondering when the FTC is going to nail her and the pharmacies that work with her.  They are violating the rules.  When I asked Dr. Formby about olive oil as a vehicle to transport estradiol he said that if you look in any compounding pharmacists book about how transport steroids then an oil like olive oil would be there on the list.  Recently a pharmacist told me that the steroids could go in even with just spit.  When in is in olive oil it looks more watery like and is white/creamy.  Progesterone in olive oil is think and yelllow.  It is very thick.  Progesterone is more lipophilic than estradiol.  What some of us have found is that the OOE goes in too fast and creates fluctuations.  We have found that mixing the OOE into a lotion (more water based than oily) first makes the OOE have more stability.  There is a difference between low E and a feeling of low E due to fluctuations.  Fluctuations can create hot flashes.  OOE = estradiol  OOP = progesterone in olive oilSome of us tried another product that was made with a tropical oil mixed with alcohol.  That went in so damn fast we called it Rocket Fuel.  It did make for a hgih E laughfest one afternoon in a restaurant.   The waiter wanted to know what we were rubbing into our skin and he wanted some too.  We didn't give him any and we stopped using it too.  It took us up and then down.  Those alcohol based gels can do that too.  So OOE is a nice clean vehicle that many of us get from Women's International.  I like it in 1mg/drop.  It had versatility when we were looking at topical, sublingual, or labia application.   Most compounders with make it up in any oil or lotion you want.  Remember to wash your hands after you apply your hormones and limit contact with others with the area you apply.   Researchers in Europe (I read the study over a year ago and can't find it) applied andogel on men and they found that the group that washed 10 minutes after application still had the same great serum levels of T that the none-washer group had. There - more than you ever wanted to know! LaurelJust interested in knowing what "OOE" stands for .. . Just for the record, I have good results with estradiol in gel - Estrogel. I use 2.25 mg once a day and apply on a fat area. It takes 72 hours to build a base.

Yeah, we do respond differently.  Good for people to know that there are many different responses.  Sam liked 2.5 mg of oral E and the meridia IUD.  Gracia loves an amount of progesterone everyday that would leave me in a coma.  LaurelJust for the record, I have good results with estradiol in gel - Estrogel.  I use 2.25 mg once a day and apply on a fat area.  It takes 72 hours to build a base. Val-----Original Message-----From: rhythmicliving [mailto:rhythmicliving ]On Behalf Of LaurelSome of us tried another product that was made with a tropical oil mixed with alcohol.  [snip] It took us up and then down. Val,

Do you use the estrogel pump . . . and if so, how many pumps per day do

you use? Also, do you use the same amount each day throughout your

cycle, or do you cycle the amounts according to the day of your cycle?

thanks muchly,

Sadie
