Question about LDN over the long term

I have experienced the same thing..here is my story...Dr. B prescribed 4.5mgs for me in July 2003.

At my 6 month check with him, he believed I was slightly resistant to LDN so he upped me to6mgs.I was one of 2 patients he had done this with.

2yrs later, out of the blue, I was having major stiffness and could barely walk with the 6mgs which was working just fine until one day!!!

Dr. B loweredmy dose back to 4.5 this past November and that is where I am now...still fine.

So after 2 yrs , something seems to have normalized (I like to use that description).

Still no progression after 2 1/2 yrs. I will call and ask him after the holidays if others have reported the same thing. Kiki

you'd get an accurate answer from him.

All I know is that Dr. Bihari told me I'd be taking it forever.

I just had some good news about LDN. My prescription's been filled at Irmat

for the last two years--about $35 for a month's supply. I know that Skip's

in Boca Raton is less expensive, but since I started with Irmat, Dr. Bihari

knows the pharmacist personally, and I've had no problems, I decided to

stick with them. My prescription drug plan is through NPA, which generally

covers LDN, but not the teachers' contract part of it. Well, as of this

month they do, so LDN is now costing me $15/month. Of course I'm pleased

about the money, but doesn't this have to mean that many more doctors are

prescribing it???

Ver interesting, thanks Kiki! I was actually considering going down

to 2.5 and seeing how that leaves me. I assume a half a mg would

make some kind of difference. Thanks for the input!
