Guest guest
Hi , I'm so sorry you are having pain again! I have not had to have another decompression but have had tethered cord surgery and now I'm battling Craniocervical Instability. I do know others that have had a 2 nd decompression and maybe someone has or will speak to that. I would contact your surgeon from the first surgery or a doctor that you trust. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, and I'm NOT a doctor or medical person, Chiari is not cured. The spinal fluid flow can be restored through surgery but it is my own belief that our Nervous Systems are changed so they just don't respond to stresses as they did before symptoms occurred. Take care, > > Hi , I am 10 years post decompression surgery and things are starting to turn for me. First i have to tell ya`ll that for 9 of these years i have not worked and just started back to work in Nov. 2010. I am an CNA at a retirement villa and i do alot of pulling and and some lifting of some of the residents. My question is has any of you had to go back and have more decompression done? My head has been killing me lately . I woke up Saturday morning with such a bad headache i thought i had an anurisym. I am having alot of the old symptons coming back. What should i do? Thanks for any advice you can give me... >
