Guest guest
Hi how are you feeling? Well I had my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago. I started to feel like my food was sitting in my chest even though I would just eat soup. I had nausea and lose bowel movements as well. Spicy and fried foods would make me hurt a lot worse and of course cramp up. Then at night I would get horrible heart burn. When I went to the doctor he would touch under my rib cage on the right side of my upper abdomen and I would feel a lot of pain. Ultrasounds came back normal until my brother (he is a internal medicine doctor) told me to tell the doctor to run a test on me called the papaya scan. What they do is have you under an open CT scan machine and in the middle of the test they injected a certain dye that tricks the body into thinking that food has entered your stomach and that helps to see what the function of the gallbladder is. My gallbladder just completely stopped working, and when they went in it was so inflamed that it was double the normal size. No sign of gallstones either so it was a total shock to the doctors and of course me. Well I hope this helps you out a little bit. Let us know about the test results.
