I'd recommend the Plano school district over Dallas any day. The Dallas

school board is a wreck at the moment (hope no one objects to me saying

this). Plano schools have a great reputation. I also think

schools are good (Plano and border each other).

Do you know anyone here? If not, call me when you get here and I'll see

if I can help somehow! (972/423-4906).

I am actually really glad to hear that. I have made some calls and

seems to be the only district (North Dallas area) that

will have openings mid year. Thanks for your input, this will be a

big adjustment!

I would be glad to call Plano ISD and see what I can find out for you--would

just need to know preferences--grade level, subject area, etc. I doubt

certification will be a problem--have you contacted the TX Dept. of Ed. to

see what you will have to do to get TX certification?? When I moved here

from Rhode Island, I had to take certification test in my content area. I

would imagine all districts will have openings mid-year, they just may just

not know it yet!! There is such a teacher shortage here, I don't think you

will have any problem finding a job. Let me know what I can do for you!
