Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm an old timer. DX'd at TCI in 2007 with BI. Forewent surgery and have managed OK for the most part. For years, I've experienced a mild swirling discomfort in my mid face that comes and goes, no big deal. However, in May, I started having mandibular pain that has spread to ear and upper teeth. Sadly, an oral surgeon finally extracted a lower first molar that we thought had fractured through and though, but my pain continued. Assuming trigeminal pain, I tried antiseizure medication, but it caused immediate lip burning followed by nerve pulsations in face and brain--on the opposite side of my already present jaw pain. Twenty-four hours later, my lips are still slightly burning but other syms have passed. Anyone ever experience this sort of thing? I've been wearing cold gel packs around my neck all day and used my migraine med and aspirin, and admittedly, I feel better now than I have all week. We're going to update MRI and flexion/extension films this week. Thanks for any input,
