Guest guest Posted November 9, 2006 Report Share Posted November 9, 2006 hello all, i have been reading so much about UTI's and many trips to the bathroom i had a bladder disease tha was called interstitial cystitis, it is the disease that eventurally took my bladder giving me a urostomy bag, IC is a disease of the bladder lining, it gives all the symptoms of a UTI, burning, needing to pee, itching, not emptying bladder , the nick name of this disese is the mad womans' disease. as you go to doc and complain an they say negative to uti, it is a maddening disease i had/have it. there is no cure, exxcept me for bladder removal, i was treated with ditropan for the need to go, uricid and uriblue for the burning, mepergans for the pain, and had to go on disabiility. it more commonly affects woman but can affect men. the link to learn more about it is : http://www.ichelp.org/ just to let you know hugs, sharon, m ps victoria, please put this email in the links somewhere thanks ---- Vallerie Edmonds wrote: Imogene, Yes she does take a medication to control too many trips to the bathroom.
