Guest guest
I would like to add something. Many people have posted that after starting LDN, they are more tired. The assumption seems to be the fatigue is an MS symptom. I've been taking liquid LDN, 4.5 mg, since about October 1. I do not have MS. I'm taking it because it has done good things for my wife, who has MS, and Dr. Bihari says 'everyone should take it'. I am also hypothyroid. I had complete blood work done in early September, just before moving long distance. I have not yet seen a new doctor nor re-checked blood. I do have hopes that LDN has helped my chronic thyroid problem. I will update the group when I know. I want to say that I, too, am more tired in the mornings since starting LDN, sometimes *very* tired. Of course, it isn't an MS symptom in my case. I don't see it as a thyroid symptom, either. Changes in hypothyroidism symptoms are much more gradual than for MS. A person with MS can wake up with a completely different set of symptoms than at bed time. Changes in hypothyroidism are due to changes in blood levels of 3 interacting thyroid hormones. The changes take days to weeks and how I feel doesn't change noticeably from one day to the next. I was diagnosed 4 years ago. I feel the morning fatigue is a drug induced haze which fades as the day grows longer. I'm sleeping SO much better than I have in years, which I also feel contributes to morning sleepiness. It's harder to wake up from a deeper sleep. Of course, I'm not saying that in everyone's case, the increased fatigue isn't MS related, but it is possible that for some it is a symptom of taking LDN and not a symptom of MS. Just my 2 cents, fwiw, the usual disclaimers.

Since you are doing liquid LDN try backing down the dose and see if you are still fatigued in the AM.

Guest guest
Everyone responds differently, Françoise. I've been taking LDN for almost three years. A few months ago, I realized that I had more energy and experienced less " MS fatigue, " but I don't know if it's that LDN has kicked in (finally!) or that it's the supplements (vis-a-vis Dr. Lawrence) that I've been taking for about a year now.
