Guest guest
, I did pursue the Lyme question about five years ago. I tested postive at Igenix and saw Joe Burrascano. I was on Zithromax for 9 months and Mepron for three months. He told me to stop and all my tests since then have been negative, except the most recent -- last spring -- was "indeterminate". I improved a bit on one symptom -- the energy crashes where I'd go unconscious (I call it a coma-like state) abated, i.e., I'd still crash but not go unconscious. My CFS doctor pointed out that Z. can also be an anti-inflammatory drug, too. A few years ago I saw one of his colleagues who's into Lyme and he thought my cognitive dysfunction would have deteriorated much more after so many years, so two years ago he thought I didn't have. Last I spoke to them it was like maybe yes, maybe no. . . the tests are so unreliable and the Lymies I've spoken to where I live seem more and more to be uneasy with years of antibiotics. I feel like I live in the world of "quantum disease" i.e., just when I think I might have a handle on what's going on or what to do it morphs into another quagmire of ambiguity. All that said, my most serious symptom the past few years has been non restorative sleep. Overall, my other symptoms are better than they were say 7 or 8 years ago. Still there, but not as bad. But the sleep problem can be so bad it doesn't matter if the other symptoms are better. I did seem to turn a corner last August with a combo of herbs and homeopathy, but that's working less and less well. Like I said, I did do LDN back in 1991-2 and got better, but tried it again a few years later after I relapsed and nothing happened. For the life of me I can't remember how long I tried it the second time. I got to thinking about it again because of a friend with CFS who also has an autistic child. It seems to have helped some with the child, I think, but not with my friend. michael

Try getting your LDN filled at Irmat pharmacy listed on the LDN website. If not allergic to lactose use that as your filler and if allergic to lactose specify them to use Acidophilus as your filler.
