Guest guest
Hi You might try contacting the AMA and asking for any Drs in your area that indicate an interest in Integrative Medicine -- they tend to be an more open-minded lot. When you visit, take copies of some of the research on LDN to give to the Dr - a couple of key papers, not the white pages LOL. Good hunting. in Oz [low dose naltrexone] Looking for Doctor in Kansas City area who will prescribe low dose naltrexone I'm searching for my wife. We need a doctor who will precsribe this treatment. We live in the Kansas City area and are getting tired of going to doctors who say no, but lets try something else. Enough is enough. There must be some doctors out there who think outside the box. Please some one guide us if you can! Thanks so much Gross

Guest guest
I would only recommend this as a last resort. Dr. Sudhir Batchu is in Columbia. My wife went to him for 4 years before we recently moved to Wisconsin. He's an outstanding doctor but has notoriously lousy staff and he's over worked. He's in Columbia on Tuesdays and Fridays, Rolla the rest of the week. I say last resort because you would want to communicate by phone and that's hit and miss with his staff. He does prescribe LDN and believes in it. paul_r_gross wrote: >I'm searching for my wife. We need a doctor who will precsribe this treatment. Guest guest
Also, I can recommend what worked for us in finding a new doctor in our new location. We called The Pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy about 200 miles away and asked for doctors close to us that prescribe LDN. First try we found an apparently good one " only " 60 miles away. Our new neighbor has fibromyalgia and has tried all the neurologists within 30 miles and thinks they are very closed minded. Wesley wrote: >I would only recommend this as a last resort. Guest guest
, My roommate has MS. We live near Columbia Missouri and use Dr. Batchu. He will prescribe LDN. But I remember from about a year ago a woman writing on this board who was from Kansas City. She went to a neurologist in Overland Park Ks who she really liked. She said this neurologist did not know about LDN but was willing to prescribe it for her when she asked for it because the neurologist said it will not hurt you. So you really might be able to get it from her. Here are her particulars: Dr. Arkin, M.D. Neurological Consultants of Kansas City Inc. 12330 Metcalf Ave Suite 200 (913) 338 4421 If that doesn't work for any reason and you really get desparate I also remember a guy from Kansas City who said he got his psychiatrist to prescribe LDN for him. That Dr's name was Dr. Epp in Kansas City. Thats all the leads I have in the Kansas City area. Hope you are successful in getting the LDN prescribed for your wife and that it really helps her as it has my roommate. Diane > > I'm searching for my wife.
