Guest guest
I know this is probably a subject that probably has been discussed already. I did a quick search on the message board but didn't find anything that really answered my question. I know there is controversy with chiro & ACM but I love my chiro :/ after my first whiplash injury (2004) I was in pt for 2 months, 3 times a week with no relief. When they started talking cortisone injections I said heck no and sought a chiro even though I had thought they were just quacks before this. In just 1 week I was finally rid of they horrible headache and pain that was plagueing me on a daily basis. I finally got to a monthly maintenance and felt pretty normal. So then came the 2nd whiplash injury (2007) I didn't bother with pt, I went straight back to more frequent adjustments only this time my maintenance was every 2 weeks & I would have good weeks and bad. Then in 2008 I feel hard on my shoulder while I was walking my dogs (lost my balance & their momentum was to fast for me to catch myself). Got a couple extra adjustments but it's pretty much been downhill since then. I still feel like I do benefit from my adjustments but have noticed the last 6 months maybe that my neck adjustments don't always feel to great afterwards and I'm not getting the kind of relief in that area as I once did. At first Dr. H said no more neck adjustments, partly because he wanted to see if a cervical collar would help. But at my last visit he said lower back was fine but just no cracking of the neck. He then gave me the name of a chiro who does adjustments that are very gentle that some ACM patients have relief with. I've kept my chiro informed of my current situation but he disagrees with the cracking of my neck. I go see him tomorrow for my lower adjustments & to see if he'll consult with this other chiro so maybe he can do these special adjustments. Does anyone else see a chiro? Or heard of these special adjustments for ACM?
