/ Here we go again

I don't post often, but I am back. 's last surgey was a tethered cord

release in August of 06. That was #8 for Chiari related surgeries. Then in March

of this year, her appendix ruptured, she had complications and spent 12 days in

the hospital.

 

After the tc release, she was sooooo much better for quite a while. I am very

sorry to say that the gradual return of many symptoms has us returning to TCI

for more. She is scheduled for a revision of her decompression as well as

repositioning of fusion screws. This will be on Nov. 15. She then needs to be

fused further down (C5-C6) on Dec. 13.

 

Our plan is to stay in the NY area between the 2 surgeries, as the 5 1/2 hour

flight back to CA is very difficult even now, let alone post op. 

 

She is more nervous this time than ever before, as are her father and I.  It is

hard to stay focused on everyday life while we wait out these next couple of

months.
