“So the

middle-age spread can often be resolved with estradiol replacement. It has been

shown to manage mid-section fat accumulation and prevent subsequent progressive

insulin resistance consistent with metabolic syndrome and reduce the risk of

developing diabetes.”

I definitely agree

with this statement from the article. In my own case, my stomach has flattened

for the very first time in my life with the addition of estradiol.

Men in andropause get a fat midriff too. It stands to reason that they are helped by taking additional Testosterone, too. If for no other reason, a man (i.e. husband) might be induced to take some, LOL!...

In women, yes, and for men it supplies extra Testosterone as they age - plus they are getting too many estrogen-like sub- stances from radiated and GM- foods and the (estrogen-mimicking) fumes from the plastic on the inside of their cars, and the air.

I guess meno- and andropause "pre-dispose" many people to (at least borderline) diabetes and insulin-resistence which in turn favors obesity. That's why diet and exercise too, are so important for the "lazier" body.

Cheereo,
