Guest guest
So here I am 9 weeks post decompression and everything is starting to come back. Was improving into my 4th week post & feeling almost like I had a life again. Had a few set backs when I went back to work and things seemed to of come to a stand still. Legs were still bothersome with weakness, muscle loss & pain. Went for 7 week post check. Had doc redo lumbar MRI since he wasn't sure about tcs from previous MRI. He now says I do indeed have a " slight " tethered cord. (still don't understand the slight part) and he wants to just watch and see. Um, ok. He is suppose to be a chiari expert I thought but he really isn't coming across this way. Finally got my copy of the MRI and I'm no expert but I think he may have missed a syrinx. I've seen many pics of MRIs of a syrinx and it's not one of the big obvious ones but maybe the starting of one? If any one is familiar with the different stages and what they look like I would be very happy to get some feed back from you. I am really at a loss right now & don't know if I should no longer trust him as he has failed me once already. Thinking about starting all over and heading to NY. Only problem with that is we received noticed that come the first of the year our insurance will be changing but we aren't sure how. So ideally it would be best financially to have any treatments or surgeries taken care of before the end of the year. I am not on disability and I do not get any paid leave from work. Can anyone tell me how long the process is to get into TCI in NY? Thanks for any help Debbie
